The Space Journey
On October 8, 2023, BEST OF SHO KITTA Part 4 was performed. The show consisted of two shows held at Sho Kitta’s hometown theater, “Sofia Sakai,” in Osaka.
This time, He created an entirely new entertainment show that combined magic and comedy. With the theme of space, He had the opportunity to visit the Kennedy Space Center in Florida in October 2022, where he learned a great deal about space and rocket launches.
He was even fortunate enough to witness a Space launch live.
As with previous shows, he handled all aspects of the production, including the story, props, costumes, direction, music, and visuals.
The title included “Journey,” and he paid special attention to creating a setting that made the audience feel as if they were truly on “space journey”
A highlight of the show was an illusion in which Sho Kitta portraying magician Tom Sony, pulls a puppy out of an crips basket. To my knowledge, very few magicians in the world per such a rare act.
With a capacity of 800, the theater was nearly full, and the show was a great success. Additionally, he sold his self-published picture book “Space Journey” in the theater lobby, and all copies sold out.

About the story:
The stage is set in 2050, an era where everyone can casually enjoy space journey. The day has finally come when such activities are available in Japan. This involves traveling to outer space at incredible speeds via a space elevator.
For Japan’s first space trip, a welcome party has been organized to entertain the guests, featuring renowned performers from various countries. However, it turns out to be a dream of the future experienced during a moment of distress.
After safely returning to Earth, the protagonist is set to make an announcement in front of the public.
Elephants Island
On April 17, 2022, I performed my show BEST OF SHO KITTA Part 3.
The show consisted of two shows, held once again at the Wakayama Prefectural Cultural Hall.
This time, He created a groundbreaking entertainment show that combines magic and acting -an unprecedented endeavor for me. He spent about three months developing the story, props, magic, direction, ideas by himself.
The concept is quite simple: while a musical show may feature cast members suddenly bursting into song, my show begins with an unexpected magic performance.
Furthermore, this story connects to the finale of Season 4 of my YouTube drama series “No Explain.”
One of the highlights is the spring machine that reveals about 120 springs at the end of the show, creating a truly spectacular scene. With a capacity of 2,000 seats, the performance was nearly sold out, marking a great success. Additionally, he sold his self-published picture book “Elephants Island in the theater lobby, adding to the excitement of the show. The picture book sold out completely.
About the story:
“Elephants Island” is a completely new show created by Sho Kitta in 2022, blending magic and acting. Sho Kitta took charge of everything from performance to script, direction, and props, making it a fully original work.
The story begins when Sho (main character of this story) gets stranded on an island and encounters a talking orb. Hungry, Sho agrees to help the orb in exchange for food. The orb asks him to stop a large “koi” that is rampaging on the island. Although Sho knows it’s an impossible request, he succumbs to the temptation of food and agrees to help.
Suddenly, the large koi appears and swallows Sho whole. When he wakes up in the dark belly of the “koi”, he sees a large elephant standing there in distress, its trunk fillgd with countless pieces of trash. As Sho removes the trash one by one, water gushes from the elephant’s trunk, allowing Sho and the elephant to escape the koi’s belly.
In the past, many elephants lived on this island, but it became polluted by garbage washed ashore by humans, causing the elephants to fall ill one by one. This elephant is one of those affected, and the large “Koi” mistakenly swallowed it while trying to help…

MOVIES
On June 12, 2021, Sho Kitta performed my show BEST OF SHO KITTA Part 2. This show was themed around MOVIES, featuring various iconic scenes from films, brought to life through costume changes -an innovative form of entertainment that is rare in the world.
Costume change, or quick change, is a type of magic where the performer transforms their outfit in an instant. The model for this technique is the world-renowned Arturo Brachetti, known fôr his beautiful costume transformations. Arturo Brachetti is an Italian quick-change artist considered the best quick change performer in the world. In the Guinness Book of Records, he is described as the quickest and most prolific quick-change artist in the world. Inspired by his style, he decided to incorporate this element into his original show.
I handcrafted all the costumes for this performance. Due to strict COVID-19 regulations in Osaka, which made it challenging hold performances there, I chose to host the event at the Wakayama Prefectural Cultural Hall in the neighboring Wakayama Prefecture. The venue has a capacity of 2,000 seats, and we implemented safety measures by spacing the seats apart and making masks mandatory for all attendees. Despite the pandemic, over 600 people attended the show, making it a significant success amid a global recession. It is not an exaggeration to say that this level of attendance was a remarkable achievement.

About the show:
The show began with me stepping onto the stage in a black jacket. The audience, filled with excitement about what kind of show was about to unfold, watched as I performed a classic bottle production trick. Just when they thought a regular magic show was starting, he suddenly burst into song. As the music played and he finished his first number, the lights dimmed, plunging the venue into darkness. This marked the true beginning of the show, titled “MOVIES.”
On the screen, visuals resembling an opening sequence of a film played, and as the curtain open, a Clown from the movie “IT’ (2017) appeared. The clown produced numerous coins from the air and quickly dashed off behind the curtain. Moments later, Dorothy from “The Wizard of Oz” (1939) emerged inging “Over the Rainbow” while playing with a dog puppet. However, the puppet dog misbehaved, prompting Dorothy to angrily throw it backstage before she exited in a huff.
Next came Cinderella from Disney’s “Cinderella” (2015), who performed a dance with her prince in a one-woman act. But as the sound of a clock chimed, she hurried off behind the curtain. Then, a Gorilla from “King Kong” (2005) entered, holding Cinderella in his grasp. The gorilla wreaked havoc on stage before disappearing behind the curtain. Following that, an Astronaut from “Armageddon” (1998) appeared as the sound of approaching meteors filled the air. He used an air cannon to destroy the meteors, but there were too many to handle. Frustrated, he ultimately gave up and simply stood at attention, before also retreating backstage. As the world faced extinction and a new world was born, a Caveman appeared from behind the curtain. He discovered a cell phone left behind by the previous civilization and curiously examined it. Inspired by the phone, the caveman contemplated creating a new world, bringing the story to a close.
Chinese & Japanese arts Show
On February 2, 2021, “BEST OF SHO KITTA Part 1” was launched. The inaugural show featured a collaboration between one of Sho Kitta’s specialties, the Chinese traditional art of “Mask Change”, and the Japanese traditional art of “Wazuma”.
It was held in Osaka, the city where he was born and raised, and despite being a weekday, a large number of people attended the theater.
The performance concluded successfully with almost a full house of 401 attendees.

About the show :
The “Chinese & Japanese Arts Show” is designed to be performed on the Diamond Princess in the future, so he focused on creating detailed choreography with minimal props.
The show began by exciting the audience with the “Mask Change”, followed by an introductory video for “Wazuma” projected on the screen. Wazuma started with the appearance of traditional Japanese umbrellas, then showcased “Renri no Kami” (Restore paper), “Hashira Nuki” (Linking rings), and the “Dream Bag” (appearance boxes). Finally, I transformed into a “NINJA” and revealed an oversized Japanese umbrella.
